7. During net surfing, I happened to visit ‘The Amman Message’ and could not left it until I could read all this. I do not have words to describe my sentiments to appreciate the effort put in by the Ahmad Abu-Al Ragheb HM KING ABDULLAH II and management. This was indeed a need of the time which has been met timely and effectively. This is pure and efficient way to express and preach our religion Islam which is misinterpreted by various schools of thoughts. I think others school of thoughts will definitely, think to mend their opinion about Islam which will ultimately lead to LOVE, PEACE and HUMANITY. 3. Islam will not be a healthy religion in my eyes until there is action in the Muslim countries to stop the dominant attitude of men toward women. I have been to Jordan, and I know the attitude of men there. It is dominance over women, not otherwise. Until this attitude of men is changed, I will not believe that Islam is a healthy way to live life. There is no shelter for abused women in Jordan, though it has been promised for years by the government. There are abusive situations that must help women, and without action the words of Islam ring hollow in most American’s ears. Address that issue and you will gain more respect in the eyes of the Western world. Jane Clark Malas – [2007-04-15] |
2. Press Release
International President of PCCIIS H.E. Shah Sufi Saleh Uddin Ahmed Chisty Message on the occasion of “2007 High Level Dialogue on Inter-religious and Intercultural Cooperation and Understanding for Peace” in the coming UNGA . Dear Friends, We welcome the present effort for holding discussion titled “2007 High – Level Dialogue on Inter-religious and Intercultural Cooperation and Understanding for Peace” in the ensuing UNGA. Undoubtedly, strengthening inter-religious and inter-cultural understanding is the need of the time and without it, it is very difficult to establish World Peace. Regret to say, the Political situation prevailing across the world, dominated by the super powers, do not allow us to be optimistic about achieving the goal. The present world cannot get rid of chronic problems until and unless the richest countries do not change their attitudes towards poor nations. Moreover, their invasion in different countries in the name of curbing terrorism and communal problems cannot bring peace in the world at all, rather it will accelerate the downfall of the richest countries. We the member of the UN bodies and conscious citizens of the world cannot allow any nation further to violate the UN charter. Moreover, the present world with turbulent political problems cannot accommodate any more double standard for the use of nuclear and other arms. Whatsoever, we strongly believe that present dialogue on improving relation among various cultural and religious groups across the world could be made successful if the three large religious groups (Christian, Muslim and Jew) which have got common origin stop cold war among themselves. Leaders of these religious groups and top political leaders should recollect that all of them are sons of Abraham (Hazrat Ibrahim, Peace be upon him) and that why they should work together to achieve the common goal of establishing humanity across the world as preached by Abraham, Moses, Jacob, Jesus and Muhammad. I, as a representative of UN NGO as well as a religious and spiritual leader, warn that if the super powers without any further delay fail to understand the agony of the repressed nations, the world peace would be under serious threat and holding of dialogues as such would be useless. So, I urge all concerned to stand on a common platform to take clear and non-destructive step to bring world peace. I through my organization as well as the UN NGO extend all out cooperation towards building a better society through holding a successful dialogue on improving relation among various cultural and religious groups. |
